We cannot deny the fact that our skin contributes to the beauty we naturally possess. There are even times that the skin speaks for itself. Just by looking at it you will know when you have to wash, moisturize and exfoliate it. If you want to look good all the time, then you should start by taking good care of your skin. Remember that no matter how wonderful and expensive your dress is it will all go to waste if you have dry, cracked and wrinkly skin. Skin care is not that complicated; in fact, it is so simple that you can make it a habit and eventually a daily routine. 1. Wash your face. This is actually the basic. Washing your face is really not that hard; it doesn't even take a lot of time. When you wash your face you will have to consider a few things like the type of facial wash you are using. There are a lot of facial soaps available in the market. When buying one, it would be best if you pick one that's made of natural ingredients and is known to be mild on the skin. Avoid using harsh facial cleansers since these can damage your skin. After washing do not rub the towel unto your face but instead pat it dry. 2. Remove your make-up. No matter how tired or how sleepy you are, you really have to take off that make-up. Cosmetics are made up of various ingredients and although most of it are hypoallergenic and organic these can still clog your pores. Clogged pores can lead to pimples and acne. If you sleep with make-up on, you will wake up with your face feeling tight and dirty. You will also stain your sheets if you don't take off your make up before you sleep. Keep pimples at bay by keeping your face clean. Remove your make-up and in case you already have acne removing your make up will keep them from getting worse. 3. Exfoliate. Nothing is constant in this world except change. This saying is also true when it comes to our skin. As the skin regenerates, dead skin cells are produced. These dead skin cells are so minute it is invisible to the naked eye. Exfoliating will help remove these dead cells making your skin smooth and soft. You don't have to exfoliate every time you wash your face; you can exfoliate once or twice a week. 4. Moisturize. No one likes rough, wrinkly and cracked skin. To keep these away, you will have to moisturize as often as you can. Your skin needs moisture in order to stay supple. Dry skin feels like sand paper; it is the result of dehydrated skin cells. Putting on moisturizers will help hydrate these cells. Drinking water can also help as well as avoiding caffeinated drinks and salty foods as these can take away the skin's moisture. In order to fully benefit the effect of moisturizers it would be best to apply it after showering since the pores are open and it will be able to absorb more moisture. For skin to remain beautiful you will have to take care of it. Proper skin care will help your skin stay healthy and it will also help you look young and fresh all the time. |
